Borneo International Kite Festival 2012 8th edition

One of the "old timer" for this year BIKF, this "stingray" kite has been around since the starts of Borneo International Kite Festival

 Borneo International Kite Festival or BIKF,has been an annual event since the past 8 years for my hometown Bintulu. Due to a very large space (an old airport runaway) which is a win for the event,people from around the state of Sarawak gathers to enjoy this beautiful event,and being an international event,participants from across the globe comes to show their kites. Hopefully the 9th edition is on the way.

We were on our trip to Miri (another coastal town in Sarawak) a 3 hour drive,made a stop by the beach (Tg Lobang),to take a few family portrait...(actually,its the first time I'm using the Nikon 50mm f/1.8)...then off to sleep over my sister(patricia)'s house...

making silhouette,rather than having just the orange sunset as background,i try to take this shot just as the sun was setting,having a rich color background sure make this shot worthwhile. Btw, its my youngest sister (left) and my wife (right) looking for seashell in this shot.. :)

Nikon Club Get Together - Bintulu

Nikon held a Nikon Club Get Together - Bintulu last weekend on the 18th March at the Milennium Park. It was a model shoot which i don't even know how to do it!! :)..of 20 something shoot only these 3 are worthy (which i am proud of as a beginner) to be display :)...
